Dr. Leake is a wife, mother of three, author, coach, and educator. This North Carolina native has spent 14 years in education. Her career in education includes being a science teacher, instructional facilitator, testing coordinator, and currently an assistant principal. Dr. Leake is passionate about the education and fair treatment of black girls, especially in rural areas. She has devoted her time to mentoring, coaching, and guiding young Black students to being the best version of themselves. Her youngest son is autistic and makes her even more passionate about the work of the NC Black Disabilities Network.
