Rya Williams

     Rya Williams has lived in North Carolina for 8 years. She shares her home and life with her husband Terry and their 4 children ages 12, 9, 6, and 3. Rya’s rich lived experiences with disability have come through parenting 3 children with Autism. It's in this capacity that she has navigated and advocated for equitable educational, medical, recreational, and communal resources for families including her own. Rya completed a LEND Fellowship in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2017. She is currently enrolled in the Disability Studies program at the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
