Dreama McCoy
Dreama McCoy is currently a Section Chief employed at the North Carolina Dept. of Public Instruction for the past 15 years. She supervises Statewide Consultants in Supporting Teaching and Related Services (STARS) under the Exceptional Children Division. The mission of the Division is to ensure students with disabilities develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and vocationally through the provision of an appropriate individualized education program in the least restrictive environment. Dreama has served at the agency as Consultant for Autism, Consultant for Positive Behavior Intervention & Support (PBIS), and Behavior Liaison.
Dreama earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1992), Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (1995), Autism Certificate (2012) and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Curriculum and Instruction (2015)
