Dekendrick Murray, MSL
Dekendrick Murray serves as the director for the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and the TRIO Student Acce[SSS] Program at North Carolina Central University. In his role, Dekendrick leads the campus’ charge in ensuring access for students who are neurodiverse, have learning differences, and individuals with physical/mental disabilities. He also co-chairs campus-wide initiatives to support students who are first in their families to attend college and/or are from a limited-income background. Dekendrick is a strong advocate for student success, is a 4x TRIO Program Alumni (Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Regional Institute, & Ronald E. McNair Scholars), and co-founded a national biological science conference (iDigTRIO) to support the exposure and connection of underrepresented students to STEM-related careers and graduate-level programs. Above all, Dekendrick values his faith in God, family, and preparing the next generation to be productive and influential members of society.
