Rya Williams
Rya Williams has lived in North Carolina for eight years. She shares her home and life with her husband Terry and their four children, ages 12, 9, 6, and 3. Rya's rich lived experiences with disability have come through parenting three children with Autism. In this capacity, she has navigated and advocated for equitable educational, medical, recreational, and communal resources for families, including her own. Rya completed a LEND Fellowship in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2017. She is currently enrolled in the Disability Studies program at the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
